Working within the card technology division of BAC Credomatic (Costa Rica), my core responsibility was to act as the technical guardian for the systems that process international credit and debit card interchange. These systems are the backbone of payment processing, requiring absolute precision and continuous adaptation to global financial standards.
This role was specialized, focusing on maintaining system integrity while implementing changes mandated by regulatory bodies and major card brands like Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Success in this area ensured the bank avoided costly non-compliance fines and maintained uninterrupted service for cardholders.
